A: During your first visit, we begin with a detailed consultation where we discuss the reason for your visit and your health history. Following this, we will create a personalized treatment plan tailored to your specific needs. As part of the diagnostic process, I will ask you a series of questions, examine your tongue, and take your pulses. Once a diagnosis has been made, you will be asked to lie comfortably on a treatment couch where you will receive the acupuncture treatment. This thorough and individualized approach ensures that you receive the most effective care possible.

Acupuncture needles are nothing like hypodermic needles. They are generally very fine and solid. Most people will not even know that the needles have been inserted. Sometimes little discomfort with a mild tingle or dull ache may be felt when the Acupuncture point is reached, but it won´t last more than a few seconds.

Yes, Traditional Chinese Medicine works well alongside conventional medical treatments. We'll review your current medications and treatments during the consultation to ensure a safe and complementary approach.

Please avoid caffeine before and after your appointment. Also, keep away from alcohol or any drugs when you come to see me. Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothes and bring any relevant medical records and a list of current medications. If possible, don't arrive on a complete empty or full stomach.
